Creating an inviting, secure space for our 301.
Project 301 is about taking the next step for what we see God doing.
IT’S ABOUT REBUILDING THE BASE & HOME OF FIRST BAPTIST CHARLOTTE.
Project 301 will focus on modernizing key spaces of our home base so that our ministries run more effectively and appeal to the needs of those in our 301.
There are certain high traffic areas of our church that our 301 demographic will encounter the most. Many of these are next generation areas that are used on a daily basis across multiple ministries.
These key spaces are deteriorating and outdated. While other areas have been given attention in more recent years, these areas have been overlooked.
Can we be the generation that advances, invests, takes risks, digs deep, and demonstrates our faith through commitment and tenacity as we seek to reach future generations?
In order to pave the path for the next generation, we are calling upon the family of First Baptist Charlotte to seek what the Lord would have each family unit sacrificially contribute to this task.

Important Project 301 Dates
At a special point in our morning worship services we will invite families to turn in their Project 301 commitment cards. Commitment cards will be provided before that Sunday.
This will be the last day of Project 301. This will be a day of celebration as we thank God for all he has done and all he is going to do. It will also be the day that we receive the first cash offering for our Project 301 commitment. The offering will be taken at a special time and we are asking our families to bring as much of their one year commitment as possible.
What are we asking?
PROJECT 301 is a one year financial commitment and focus to address the needs before us. In the next few weeks, we will be asking the Father what our role in this next chapter of First Baptist Charlotte will be. I am asking each of you to personally consider the following:
• Attend our Worship Services & Sunday School
every week of Project 301
• Pray fervently for our church through the
Project 301 dates
• Ask any questions of our staff, strategic
planning committee & finance committee that
you may have
• Ask the Lord what He would have you give,
over & above your regular tithes & offering,
in order to make Project 301 a reality
How to make your commitment
Once you have sought God’s direction, act in faith, and determine your commitment. Let your gift reflect your obedience to God’s direction, your capacity of faith, and our gratitude to God.
Fill out the commitment card, indicating the amount you will give over the next 12 months.
Give as much of your commitment as possible as part of the cash offering during our Worship Services on Celebration Sunday, October 27th, or give online by clicking the button below, and selecting “Project 301” in the drop-down menu next to your designated amount.
Frequently asked questions
HAVE THE DETAILS OF THE RENOVATIONS OF PROJECT 301 BEEN DECIDED?
Most of the details we have at this moment are estimates rather than hard bids. Our house committee has set the priority list for renovations. Once we receive gifts towards Project 301, we will begin accepting bids for the areas according to priority. The Project 301 will proceed as gifts come. Our goal is to keep the cost of the project as low and “shoe string” as possible. There may be some parts of the project that we call upon church members to help with to save.
WILL EACH FAMILY MEMBER BE EXPECTED TO GIVE THE SAME AMOUNT?
Our families each have varying potentials for giving. Each family is being asked to prayerfully consider their commitment. We believe that if each family will seek the Lord, He will show each family exactly what to give. We believe the Lord is not seeking equal gifts from families, but rather equal sacrifice.
HOW DOES THE PROJECT 301 GIVING EMPHASIS WORK?
As believers, to give a 10% tithe of our income to God’s work through our church is biblical obedience. Project 301 is the opportunity for every believer to sacrificially give above their tithe to further the Kingdom of God in a tangible way.
WHEN, WHERE & HOW DO I MAKE MY COMMITMENT?
You can make your commitment in advance if you would like. However, we are expecting most commitments to be made Sunday, October 20th during a special time in our morning services. Commitment cards will be provided to each person and family before that Sunday.
WHEN WILL MY GIVING BEGIN?
The official beginning of your commitment is Celebration Sunday, October 27th. However, you may begin giving at any time. Be sure to designate on your offering envelopes and on your check the amount that is to be for Project 301 and the amount that is for your regular tithe. Each family will also be provided with special Project 301 envelopes in order to designate their gifts.
There are several different ways that a person or family can commit financially to greater things.
Some families may desire to give a onetime cash gift to Project 301. We encourage you to do this in our first Project 301 offering on Celebration Sunday, October 27th.
