Jail Ministry

Serving the most needy on our society gets applauded from all areas. There are entire companies whose whole mission is to provide shoes to needy children around the world. But what about the needy who's need bears a stigma? The Lord calls us to "Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners,and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering." Hebrews 13:3 (NIV)

Scope

  • In jail Sunday Schools

Time

  • 8:15 - 10:15 am Sunday Schools*.     
    *There is plenty of time to return to FBC in time for the worship service.

Personnel

  • Two teachers per team. Each team will be assigned a Pod and classroom to teach in by the Sheriff's Department

Qualifications

  • Dedicated Christians
  • Burden for the lost
  • Scripturally Sound
  • Pass Sheriff's Department screening
  • Willing to receive training
  • Not prejudiced

The very first step to volunteering is to fill out the application below. All Volunteers must pass a criminal background check and attend a Basic Inmate Supervision Class put on by the Sherriff and Chaplin’s office.
